【大纪元2019年09月20日讯】（大纪元记者李言编译报导）热带低气压“伊梅尔达”（Imelda）袭击东德克萨斯州（East Texas），降下数英尺暴雨。周四（9月19日），911呼救电话被打爆——德州东部许多人及车辆，被大水困在家中。
休斯顿东部杰斐逊县（ Jefferson County）当局说，过去三天，一些局部地区降雨量超过40英寸（122厘米）。接下来还会有更多的降雨。
“暴洪紧急情况已经持续并扩大。”休斯顿国家气象局办公室说，“情况非常危险，危及生命。”

据AccuWeather报导，伊梅尔达在休斯顿以东65英里（105公里）的汉普郡（Hamshire）附近降下超过33.5英寸（102厘米）的雨量，其间在12小时内降雨量为25英寸（76厘米）。

在几英里外的温妮镇（Winnie），戏剧性的照片和视频显示，车辆几乎完全被水淹没。莱格兰医疗中心（Riceland Medical Center）正在进行疏散，这里的水深超过4英寸（12厘米）。
钱伯斯郡警长办公室（Chambers County Sheriff）部署了高水位救援车和救生艇，以便从被洪水淹没的房屋中救出居民。

警方警告居民不要离开被淹的房屋或在被水淹的道路上行驶。他们请求居民耐心等待。
